Theme:I think Salinger tell us this story through Holden's voice because it puts in his perspective and show what he thinks and goes through in these three days rather then just telling us in third person and not getting the whole feeling or idea of what Holdens going through.

Theme: I think that Salinger tells us this story threw Holdens voice because it will put more meaning behind the story coming from him. Also it was his life, he was the one who went threw these 3 hectic days, so it would make sense for the story to be coming from Holdnes point of view.

Theme: I think that Salinger tells us the story through Holden's voice in order for the reader to comprehend the story through a first person perspective. A story is easier to understand when a person is telling it in first person because they are a direct source from the event.
#1) I believe Salinger tells us the story through Holden's voice because he may feel that many people can relate to a younger teenage girl. From reading his Novel I have learned giving up is not the way to go, you will not win. This story will be told more powerfully from a first hand experience. Holden underwent these 3 hectic, torturous events of his life nobdoy knows better.
